vs Cvent · Twenty-seven products, priced by the registration
Cvent runs events, thoroughly.
We run what happens between them.
Cvent has a product for nearly everything and prices most of them separately, by the registration. Sixteen of our eighteen modules overlap — the community features included, each one configured inside a single event’s hub. What there isn’t is one place any of it keeps running when no event is on. Their own product list ends at a phase called After.
- They handle
- Almost everything, per event
- We’re better because
- One account, not one per event
- And past T+30
- A video library, not a room
What they cover
What Cvent does well.
Three of them. Capability was never Cvent’s problem.
- 01
Room blocks and rooming lists
Passkey works against live hotel inventory, with sub-blocks by attendee type and tracking against attrition.
- 02
The door at enterprise scale
On-demand badge printing, check-in on any field, RFID session scanning for capacity and CE credit, payment taken at the desk.
- 03
Breadth
Twenty-seven named products, covering sourcing, diagramming, abstracts, budgets and exhibitors. Few gaps — and a separate line item for most of them.
Connected covers the door on one shared set of accounts, passes, and permissions, turned on from one login instead of bought as twenty-seven products, and with no charge per registration. Hotel room blocks are the one thing on that list we don’t replace.
One event, start to long after
Cvent covers before, during, and after.
After is where we start.
This is the same lifecycle track as our home page — one event, from the first planning meeting to the year after next. Cvent covers the left of it thoroughly. Their own product list sorts into Before, During and After — and After means reports, leads, and recordings.
Their year-round surface keeps recordings watchable past T+30, which is real. What stops is the relationship: no member home, no feed, no groups, no tier to renew. At Day 400 the motion is to duplicate the event and re-invite a contact group.

The community five all come back partial for one reason: each is configured inside a single event’s hub. The features exist. What doesn’t is one place they keep running when no event is on.
Marked against Cvent’s own published product pages, July 2026 (Cvent product list) (their year-round hub). Product lines move. If we have one of these wrong, tell us and we’ll change it — we’d rather be corrected than quoted.
Service-first software
Support isn’t a tier here.
Service-first isn’t a tagline, it’s the order this company was built in: support is the engine and the software is what assists it. It’s also the one thing in this comparison you can’t read off a table of marks — and the thing you’ll care most about at 6am on the day of.
What support usually means
- An add-on tier you upgrade into
- A chatbot with a friendly name
- A queue position and an ETA
- A macro pasted from a knowledge base
What it means here
- The core engine, not an upgrade tier
- A person you can reach, by name
- Someone who can change the product
- Reached before you have to ask
That’s a commitment rather than a plan tier, so it’s written down and it applies to every customer on the platform, at 80 seats and at 12,000. Read the promise in full.
One qualificationCvent will staff your show, and at a certain size that’s worth buying. The difference we’re drawing is structural: theirs is a professional-services line item, ours is the default setting.
Leaving Cvent
What moving actually involves.
Migrations are where comparison pages go quiet. Here’s the honest version, including the parts that are genuinely work.
- 1
Bring the address book
Contact exports come in as accounts, deduplicated on email, with each person’s event history attached — and with a login on the other side, which an address-book row doesn’t have.
- 2
Run one event in parallel
Keep Cvent for the flagship that’s already sourced and contracted. Stand a smaller one up here instead, and compare the two on the same portfolio.
- 3
Rebuild the registration logic once
Your conditional flow doesn’t transfer automatically — no platform’s does, in either direction. We rebuild it with you in a session, and you clone it forever after.
- 4
Turn the year on
Channels, groups, threads, and interests go live the week the event ends, on the audience that just attended it, with the permissions they already have.
And the part that is work
What doesn’t come across: your Cvent configuration, their integration mappings, and anything sitting in a tool you wired to them. Two we don’t replace at all: venue sourcing and hotel room blocks, which would stay wherever they are today. Better said now than after you’ve signed.
Bring the event with the most add-ons.
Bring your passes, your sponsor tiers, and your hardest questions. We’ll build it here with you — not hand you a trial and a help center — so you can judge it where it counts: the month after the doors close.
