Connected

vs Swoogo · Registration and event marketing — that’s the scope

Swoogo runs the event.
We run the year.

Registration is one module out of eighteen. Swoogo does that one competently and stops there. Connected runs the invoicing, the on-site floor, and the community that keeps going after teardown — on one set of accounts, from one login. Ten modules overlap. Eight have no Swoogo equivalent at all.

What they cover

What Swoogo does well.

Three of them, so you know this page has actually looked. None is a reason to run a whole programme on a registration tool.

  • 01

    Registration logic

Unlimited rules, fields, and conditional logic. There aren’t many registration flows they can’t model.

  • 02

    Event sites

A white-label site builder a marketing team can drive without a developer.

  • 03

    Unlimited events

They don’t charge per event, so a portfolio of small ones isn’t penalized for existing.

Connected does all three, at 80 seats and at 12,000, on one shared set of accounts, passes, and permissions — and then keeps running for the eleven months a registration platform has nothing to do with.

One event, start to long after

Both platforms get you to the door. One keeps going.

This is the same lifecycle track as our home page — one event, from the first planning meeting to the year after next. Swoogo covers the left of it. Everything we disagree about is on the right.

The last shared beat is the post-event survey. After that, a registration platform has nothing left to do, because the thing it manages is over.

Not one of the five community modules has a Swoogo equivalent. That isn’t a flaw in their product — it’s the line between running events and keeping an audience.

Marked against Swoogo’s own published product pages, July 2026 (Swoogo platform overview). Product lines move. If we have one of these wrong, tell us and we’ll change it — we’d rather be corrected than quoted.

Service-first software

Support isn’t a tier here.

Service-first isn’t a tagline, it’s the order this company was built in: support is the engine and the software is what assists it. It’s also the one thing in this comparison you can’t read off a table of marks — and the thing you’ll care most about at 6am on the day of.

What support usually means

  • An add-on tier you upgrade into
  • A chatbot with a friendly name
  • A queue position and an ETA
  • A macro pasted from a knowledge base

What it means here

  • The core engine, not an upgrade tier
  • A person you can reach, by name
  • Someone who can change the product
  • Reached before you have to ask

That’s a commitment rather than a plan tier, so it’s written down and it applies to every customer on the platform, at 80 seats and at 12,000. Read the promise in full.

Leaving Swoogo

What moving actually involves.

Migrations are where comparison pages go quiet. Here’s the honest version, including the part that is genuinely work.

  1. 1

    Bring the people first

Registrant exports come in as accounts, deduplicated on email, with each person’s event history attached rather than flattened into a CSV column.

  2. 2

    Run one event in parallel

Keep Swoogo for the event that’s already built and launched. Stand the next one up here instead, and compare the two on the same portfolio.

  3. 3

    Rebuild the registration logic once

Your conditional flow doesn’t transfer automatically — no platform’s does, in either direction. We rebuild it with you in a session, and you clone it forever after.

  4. 4

    Turn the year on

Channels, groups, threads, and interests go live the week the event ends, on the audience that just attended it, with the permissions they already have.

And the part that is work

What doesn’t come across: Swoogo page templates, their integration configuration, and anything sitting in a third-party tool you wired to them. We’ll tell you which of those we replace natively and which you’d be rebuilding — before you sign anything, not after.

Bring the Swoogo build you’re proudest of.

Bring your passes and your questions and we’ll build it here with you — not hand you a trial and a help center — so you can judge it where it counts: the week after the doors close.
